We are on the verge of divorce.

At first, I didn’t know if counselling would work because we needed to juggle work with a kind on the way. I was skeptical, but then I learned about our communication differences and similarities.

Thank you for saving my marriage!

Personal Feedback

Honestly a really wonderful mental health service provider. They have online sessions, so it’s extremely accommodating to those who are fearful to leave their home due to trauma/anxiety.

My therapist has such a commendable skillset and clinical knowledge. I genuinely feel safe talking to her. I never leave a session not learning something new

Google Review

My Clinical Psychologist conducted a thorough assessment before providing a diagnosis. All aspects of my life were taken into account. With a long and detailed report, the rates were very reasonable. I was so happy with my Clinical Psychologist that I decided to continue my therapy sessions after the assessment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a psychiatrist, clinical psychologist, counsellor, speech therapist and occupational therapist?

Therapy or Counselling focuses on ongoing support. It provides a safe space to explore emotions, behaviours, relationships, or life challenges, and to develop coping strategies over time.

Psychological Assessment focuses on understanding mental illness or disorders. It involves a structured assessment to clarify concerns such as emotional functioning, learning, attention, or developmental profile. The assessment helps guide decisions about support, accommodations, or next steps.

In some cases, assessment and therapy may work together. In others, therapy alone may be recommended.

You don’t have to decide this on your own.

For children and adolescents, a Clinical Psychologist or Developmental Psychologist will first conduct a parent consultation to understand your child’s developmental history, concerns and current needs.

Based on this consultation, we will recommend whether therapy, assessment or other forms of support are most appropriate. Our goal is to ensure your child receives the right support without rushing into unnecessary interventions.

We use the term ‘Therapists’ to refer to all our mental health practitioners. Each of these practitioner plays an important role in addressing various aspects of mental health and well-being.

  • Psychiatrist: A medical doctor who can diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medication. At the moment, MINDAKAMI does not have a psychiatrist, however we provide referrals.
  • Clinical Psychologist: Trained to assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based psychological therapy.
  • Counsellor: Provides talk-based therapy focused on emotional support, coping skills, relationships, and life challenges.
  • Speech Therapist: Supports the development of speech, language, communication, and social interaction.
  • Occupational Therapist: Supports sensory processing, motor skills, self-regulation, and daily functioning.

When needed, these practitioners will work collaboratively to support individuals holistically.

Yes. MINDAKAMI offers both tele-health (online) and physical (in-person) sessions.

All sessions are appointment-based to ensure focused and uninterrupted care. You can book your session directly through our website, or contact us via WhatsApp if you need guidance before booking.
